ABOUT AMERICAN GRADUATE
Over the past six years, public media’s American Graduate initiative has helped our country understand the importance of improving high school graduation rates for all youth. Entering its newest phase, American Graduate is evolving to focus on what happens after high school graduation, helping young people access pathways to gainful employment in high-demand sectors.
Through American Graduate: Getting to Work, the Nine PBS is highlighting the changing world of work, the pathways into well-paying, in-demand jobs, and resources available to the St. Louis community. Specifically, high demand skilled work offers opportunities to people looking to start or change careers. These professions require some education and training after high school, but not necessarily a four-year degree.
STL 2030 JOBS PLAN
A draft of the first plan to create a significant number of quality jobs for the entire St. Louis metropolitan area in more than 10 years has been released, and now broader engagement and feedback from the community is needed over the next several months.
